Synopsis:
"Rio tells the story of Blu (Jesse Eisenberg), a Spix Macaw who is captured from his native homelands of Brazil at a young age to be domesticated thousand of miles away with his human owner Linda. His new owner soon discovers that he is the last male of his kind, and with that , the two head south to Rio de Janeiro to meet Blu's new mate. However, it is nowhere near close to love at first sight between the socially awkward, flight challenged Blu and the strong and independent extreme flying female Jewel (Anne Hathaway). Shortly after Blu's arrival, greedy animal smugglers capture the two rare birds and they soon find themselves helplessly lost in the Brazilian rainforest. Unexpectedly thrown together they embark on a hysterical and endearing adventure where they learn about friendship, love, courage and spreading ones wings to fly."

The creators of ICE AGE bring to audiences a whole new tropical adventure with Rio. They have such an array of characters in this film. Voice talents of George Lopez, Tracy Morgan, Jemaine Clement, will.i.am, Jamie Foxx, Jane Lynch, & Wanda Sykes.

My Opinion:
I haven't seen the movie yet so I cant wait until Aug.2 to see it. My oldest 3 have seen it at the theaters and loved it. They said it was funny and cute. They want to see it again. Even my son liked it and said it was really funny. So it must be cute. From the preview it looks absolutely adorable. I love the colorful animation and the animals and all. I cant wait to see it! Supernatural: The Anime Series on DVD and Blu-Ray

The creators of Supernatural were able to construct an animated world in which there were no boundaries. This new look into Supernatural brings new perspective to the show. From adding color, intensity and action to scenes, to vivid images of horrifying demons, the medium does not disappoint. This so make this show stand out beyond the others  I think!

I love that since I watch the real show and then watching the anime version it gives it a new perspective on the show without changing the story line. I think about my life and looking back on it now knowing what I know and looking at it in a new light how things have changed and my perspective has changed now looking at it from when I was actually living it! I also think about if I was going to do a show about my life if I would want it on film or anime. I think both would be cool but if I had to chose one I think Anime because my life I think could be represented and told better in a cartoon. I know it might seem fake but I think parts of life feel like a cartoon where if it was told as a film I think it would be one of those lifetime series haha. Supernatural I think is the same way. Discovery Girls Magazine perfect for those preteens in your house plus a Giveaway ends 8-5

Do you have a preteen girl in your house? Gosh I have 5 girls and 2 are preteens and 1 will officially be a teen in October. I am so not ready for that haha. I find it hard for birthdays and Christmas on what to buy them these days. I had a hard time even just for everyday type gifts. Our Opinion:
We received June/July's magazine , the Friendship Hardship book and the 2011 Survival Guide collector's edition magazine. My 2 oldest were so excited to read the magazines and book. My oldest is really into magazines but I really hate her looking at those fake girls on the magazines because my girls are at that impressionable stage where they think they have to look like everyone else or the famous people to fit in or be popular and I hate that. Its nice to see that their is some magazines out there that are all trash talking and fake. With Discovery Girls its all real and help topics about makeup and advice for bullying and being the new kid and so on. Just nice helpful and fun topics and articles. My girls love the quizzes and embarrassing moment articles too. I think they love that they are something they can relate too and that means alot to them and helping them feel normal too. We really have enjoyed the magazine and now I am sure I want to get a subscription to it for my girls!

The Friendship hardship book was perfect for my 12 year old. She has been dealing with some friendship issues this year and I try to explain to her she will find good friends if she looks in the right place. This book helped her see the difference between good friends, user friends, bad influence friends and so on. It also helped her learn how to deal with her friends and their peer pressure. This is a great book and I definitely will share it with anyone that has girls who deal with crazy friends.

So if you have preteens or teens you should definitely check  out Discovery Girls. They are sold at most book stores and Walmart, Kmart , and target and etc. They run around $4.95 for a issue or for a better deal a yearly subscription for $19.95 on the Discovery Girls website. So check it out!

Our Opinion:
We received a few packs to try them out and my kids were in heaven with their new eraser pals lol. I gave them each a pack and watched them open them and find out what their secret Gumos were. then the older ones check out how much each one was worth on the point system so they could trade to get the highest point ones. The younger ones didn't care about the points they traded for the cutest ones haha. They sat for a good hour trading between them. The next day they were finding kids in the neighborhood to show them to and having them go buy some to trade. Now it is a neighborhood daily trade sale haha. I know when school starts back they will be trading them and having fun with friends with them. My kids have really enjoyed them.

They are small so definitely not a little kid toy or someone who puts things in their mouth alot. Plus watch family pets our cat thought they would be a fun toy as well but my kids stopped that fast haha. I think trading toys like Gomu's are a great fun toy to get kids interacting with others and learning the barding system. You bet these will be a Christmas favorite toy as well! So if you haven't checked these out you definitely should your kids will love them!

Comic-Con 2011 are you there if not check this out

This weekend Is Comic-Con 2011 and one of these years I will actually get to go haha. I love looking at all the awesome fun pictures and watching all the Comic-Con videos at the event. There are so many shows and movies and even video games I love and I love seeing whats new coming out! That why I had to share this awesome video from this years Comic-con about new Video games coming out this year.

I was in awe after watching this video. I know my husband and son will love that new Batman game coming out it looks so cool and realistic. I cant believe how graphic games are getting. its so cool. I know all my kids will love the new Lego Harry potter coming out and I know it will be a hit will the movies coming to a end. Kind of sad!  My favorite would probably be the new Lord of the Rings especially since first time ever you can play as a team with my family. It looks awesome! I cant wait to watch some of the of videos of the Comic-Con events and shows and see all the fun pictures! How to survive back to school without too much stress

I got five kids starting school in one month. Yes crazy! One in Kindergarten, one in 1st grade, one in 4th grade , one in 5th grade and one starting junior high 7th grade. It is gonna be one crazy year! So how do I prepare myself and my kids?

Well first off School supplies. Buy them when on sale! Stock up to last the year. Right now everyones got them cheap. Get those pencils, notebooks, glue, scissors, staplers, folders and paper. You will always need those no matter what. Also through out the year clearances you can find all kids of school supplies so check them and get them.

Next school clothes same as supplies check clearances and discount stores like Ross. Alot cheaper and shop all year long and stock up even a size bigger this saves me alot.

Next would be schedules. Now with school comes homework, after school programs and etc. Make a schedule, write it down and stick to it. It definitely saves your sanity and your kids!

Next prepare your kids. Show them the school, walk around it and get them familiar with it. Talk with teachers, principles and all. Talk to your kids what it will be like and make it a happy experience.

A new one for me and my oldest is lockers. She has no clue on locks so I am buying her a lock to practice on at home to get prepared for school so she is not freaking out that she cant get her locker open. This will calm her some too.

Hungry Jack Hashbrowns review and Giveaway ends 7-27

I am not a morning person at all. I am just not motivated to get up in the morning and make a big breakfast but Sundays I make breakfast for my kids. I do love Hash browns with my breakfast though and even with dinner sometimes but I am not a huge fan of the frozen ones so when I got the chance to try out Hungry Jack Hashbrown potatoes that are not frozen or refrigerated I was excited to try them.

We received a awesome review pack from Hungry Jack that included a Apron, a Spatula, a fry pan and two boxes of Hash browns. My kids were even excited when they seen the stuff. They were like can you make them now mom haha. Sure enough the next day guess what we had for breakfast haha yep Hash browns. I was surprised how easy these little cartons were. You fill the carton to fill line with water microwave  and let sit for a few minutes all while waiting for the pan to warm up. Then the dehydrated potatoes are now soft and ready to pour into the pan and fry to your desired crispiness. Now your wondering how did they taste? Were they fake tasting or real? I am please to say they were like you just shredded the potatoes yourself and fried them. It took a total of about 15 minutes for us to have a homemade tasting delicious hash browns. I loved that! No freezer icy taste and no soggy mushy potato taste. So delicious! I love them and so does my family! I have been buying them since and making them every time we make a breakfast because my family cant get enough. I have made breakfast scramble with them and a hash brown casserole with it and they have turned out wonderful! They even sent me Some awesome recipes for a Hashbrown Omelet, Meat and potatoes meatloaf, and Zucchini Parmesan cakes and they are awesome too. plus they have many other recipes on the site as well that you have to check out if your like me and love new recipes! Supernatural: The Anime Series on DVD and Blu-Ray

Me and my husband search over shows trying to find ones we will actually get into these days but its hard. Then I heard through WB that they were coming out with a new anime series based around the series Supernatural which me and my hubby used to watch all the time and got into it. So of course we were intrigued into checking it out. What is Supernatural The Anime Series about? well here is a short synopsis- After being separated for years, the Winchester brothers come together and surmount enormous obstacles (including some pretty gnarly demons) in search of their father. Throughout the show, family and brotherhood specifically is a very important theme. In fact, it is often the key element that saves each brother’s life when things get the most dangerous.

Sounds interesting right? I know it does to us and I love how it brings family closeness into the story line. I have sibling but they are all way older than me but I know they would help me if ever I was in dire emergency. We might not always get along but we love each other and always help each other out and that's what this show is about. Two brother helping each other get past their battles and enemies and find the truth. That's what intrigues us. Moon Dough the fun alternative to Play dough

Honestly I can say I have not always been a fan of play dough. Its stinks so bad and so messy. Only way my kids can play with it is outside lol. But with Moon Dough I don't have to worry as much and my kids love it just as much!

Also another awesome thing is this is Wheat free and Hypoallergenic for kids like my youngest would are allergic to alot of stuff. Now I don't have to worry about her getting sick or rashed out!

Tasty Tuesday Recipe

Panko Crusted Salmon

Panko has become one of my best friends in the kitchen. There are so many things that you can do with it, and it adds a unique flavor to your dish. If you’ve never tried Panko before, here’s your first introduction to greatness.

What you need:

• Salmon Fillets
• 4 tablespoons honey
• 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
• Panko

Directions:

1. Mix honey and Dijon mustard together in bowl
2. Cover salmon in the honey and mustard mix.
3. Generously our Panko over salmon
4. Bake salmon at 375 for 15 minutes or until it flakes, and ENJOY!

Now that the warm weather has finally arrived and we’ve had such a wet spring that flooding is an issue across much of the country, mosquitoes are every where. I know when we went to the car show and Fireworks for American Fork Steel Days there were so many pesky bugs and mosquito's it was so annoying. Our Opinion:
I do say this is for 7 or older for one reason is that it would be more age appropriate for them and it would definitely be easier to read for them. It also is comic book style as well but it has a great interesting storyline. My 3 oldest who are 8,10, and 12 read it and liked it. I think this has to be my son's favorite book to read and it is hard to find something he likes to read. He couldn't put it down. Overall I think this was a fun book for my kids to read and I would recommend it to anyone with preteens. It is funny and enjoyable are my kids descriptions of it! So if you haven't read it yet or deciding whether or not to get it I suggest you read The Adventures of Super Diaper Baby 2 The Invasion of the Potty Snatchers.

Build a Dream Playhouses review and giveaway ends 7-22

With all the technology out there today kids are rarely ever using their imagination any more. Its quite sad. I remember playing with my nieces and nephews and we had some wild imaginations. We never barely watched TV or needed toys to play with. These days kids aren't like that. That's why I try to find toys that spark my kids imagination. Things that will make them pretend and create. So when I came across build a dream playhouses I thought this is going to be something my kids will love and can be artistic and create with their imagination.

What is build a dream playhouses? Well they are awesome things like cars, castles, kitchens and more made out of cardboard that your kids can color the way they like and create a fun thing to play with. I mean really who as a kid hasn't played with a box or have those kids that enjoy the box more then the toy? Well this is a fun, cheap and eco friendly way to keep your kids entertained for hours!

We got the Snack Shack set because my kids are always wanting to do a lemonade stand or bake sale or craft sale so I thought this would be perfect for them. They got to decorate it and color it and make it their own. In no time it was complete and ready to set up shop lol. Trust me that exactly what they wanted to do too. They got some lemonade and and cookies and toys and anything else they could find to set up shop on the corner and start saling their stuff. They had a blast. They wanted to do it everyday ha ha. I loved how sturdy this was and how easy it was to set up. I love the roominess of it too so that all my kids could enjoy it! best part it even had counters and cabinets to keep their stuff in lol. They love it. I have to say this was the best investment ever. I see this getting many uses out of it this summer! Even the neighbor kids want to borrow it ha ha!

So if you want something that your kids can have fun creating and making their own and something that sparks their imagination then you have to check out build a dream playhouses. You will be glad you did and so will your kids! They have many different ones to chose from as well so your bound to find one that fits your child!
